an Irish blessing

In honour of St. Patrick’s Day, we five took our celebrating to the local museum. We must celebrate our Irish heritage somehow (I think we have some Irish in there somewhere—might explain my love of mashed potatoes and Baileys).

The girls volunteered to help with the party for the three to five year old attendees. They washed their little hands after plastering construction paper shamrocks with glue and glitter. They opened their snack bags and juice boxes. They hid lucky treasure and led the wee ones around the rooms to find them.

Because our time is our own, we can use it any way we choose. Like allowing ourselves time to share our lives and our skills with others. And it’s kinda fun getting to know people in our community, being a part of others’ lives, and allowing them to be apart of ours.

“Wishing you always, walls for the wind, and a roof for the rain and tea beside the fire. Laughter to cheer you, and those you love near you, and all that your heart might desire.”
