Does any of this sound familiar?
You might be experiencing homeschool mom overwhelm because…
- You’re trying to keep a clean house and run a private school inside it.
- Finishing every last bit of the curriculum feels mandatory.
- You’re trying to do everything the neighbour’s kids are doing at school.
- Other homeschool families seem to do it all — and you feel like you should too.
- You believe there really is one right way to homeschool.
- Charlotte Mason, John Holt, Maria Montessori, or Julie Bogart set the bar — and you’re trying to clear it.
- You’re trying to keep your kids happy all the time.
- Three square meals on the table every single day feels non-negotiable.
Or Does This Homeschool Overwhelm Feel Familiar?
- You love your kids and love learning with them — but feel completely unsupported outside your home?
- You have a child with extra needs and wonder if you’re doing right by them.
- Even with neurotypical kids, you still wonder if you’re doing right by them.
- You feel like you could do a great job with one or two kids — but you’ve got five.
- The right curriculum never quite materializes because nothing ever feels like it’s really working.
- Your kids are complaining, bickering, whining, or just plain wearing you out.
- Checking boxes so other people won’t question your choices has become exhausting.
- You’re feeling not good enough — and you have been for a while.
- And there’s probably something else too. You know what it is.
What homeschool mamas are saying:
“Teresa is the real deal. An experienced homeschool mama who’s been there and genuinely knows how to help others find their way out of overwhelm. Her ability to hold space for silence and difficult feelings makes her approach so effective — and I trust her completely. Her retreat, resources, and ask-me-anything meetings have served me tremendously. I’m so glad she’s in my corner.” — Homeschool mama of 3 years
“Your articles have so much helpful information and are really making me think and shift my mindset. That’s exactly what I needed.” — Lauren
“Struggling and stuck — that’s where I started. Working with Teresa introduced me to strategies and tools that helped me understand why I was feeling the way I was. I’ve been digging deeper ever since.” — Nada
I’ve been there.
I’m Teresa — a homeschool mama just like you, and a homeschool life coach who has spent fifteen years grappling with homeschool overwhelm firsthand.
I was trying to keep a clean house, run a school inside it, finish the curriculum, and do everything the neighbour’s kids were doing at school. Comparing myself to every other homeschool family, I was convinced there was one right way to do this — and I wasn’t doing it. Keeping everyone happy all the time felt like my job, and normal childish behaviour felt like a personal attack. Doing too many things while feeling like I wasn’t doing enough was my daily reality.
But I wanted to actually enjoy this homeschool life I’d chosen. So I stopped white-knuckling it and started figuring out what was really going on.
That journey is what became the Overcoming Homeschool Overwhelm Journaling Workbook — and I’m sharing it with you so you don’t have to figure it all out alone.
Who this workbook is for:
Whether you’re brand new to homeschooling or you’ve been at this for years and just hit a wall, this workbook meets you exactly where you are. It’s for the homeschool mama who feels constantly run down, can’t put her finger on why nothing feels like enough, and is ready to get honest about what needs to change. No special tools or experience needed — just a pen, some quiet time, and a willingness to show up for yourself.
What’s Inside the Overcoming Homeschool Overwhelm Journaling Workbook
Through honest, guided journaling prompts you’ll explore the three areas most likely driving your overwhelm:
- Your Needs — what you’ve been quietly setting aside and what it’s costing you
- Your Relationships — where you feel unsupported, stretched thin, or unheard
- Your Homeschool — the expectations and beliefs making everything harder than it needs to be
Each section builds on the last. You’ll move gently from self-awareness to clarity. By the end, you’ll have a much better sense of what’s actually getting in the way.
Work through it at your own pace, in your own time, without judgment.
